ok so I have a ford ef Fairmont and it had the fog lights in the front but I don't no how to make them work and there is no wiring there for them does anyone know whats goin on

they are not fog lights, they are actually cornering lights used in fairlanes ect, originally they light up when the indicator is used lighting up the direction your turning,
so there is a chance you don't have the wiring?? oh, and this has nothing to do with the 6 cyl engine.. so thread moved to exterior medication forum.. |

so what your saying is they made a car with the cornering lights but with no wiring for them to work and sorry

Usually Faimont Ghias and Fairlanes were fitted with cornering lights. Most if not all Fairmonts did not come with them, (may be optioned up). I would say that yours has been fitted later with the cornering lights just for show and never hooked up. Standard Fairmont looms don't include the wiring.

yeah i had a EL fairmont that had the driving lights put in but did not work as no loom for them in the fairmont, i just ran them to the lights and they came on when the lights were on.

well mine is a ghia but still no wiring oh well not like I need them now I have my typhoon body kit anyway cheers guys

I had cornering lights that I put into my old EL Fairmont wagon. I bought a complete driving light wiring loom kit from Supercheap for $19 and wired them up as you do with driving lights. I wired them up to the parkers so they come on when you put the lights on.
