How big are the subs in the BA?
JL make 10" "free-air" or Infinite Baffle (IB) speakers. http://www.jlaudio.ca/m10ib5-sg-tb-mari ... vers-91734 Have a read through this forum I found from the US, quite informative. Note it is dated 2009, so be aware that some items may not be bought here or at all. http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/sys ... -subs.html Here is a link to a speaker the talk about in the forum I linked to http://www.daytonaudio.com/index.php/lo ... 4-ohm.html Hope that helps some what

There are also quite a few subs that are not called infinite baffle or free air but will work as free air. What to look out for is a stiff movement in the cone to make sure the sub doesn't bottom out. There are a few brands of subs that are not specified as free air but will work, I cant remember all the names but I do know that Alpine is one of them. If your buying online the you'll be best to get a specific free air sub but if your going down the shop to inspect, just open your hand and gently push the sub cone down with your fingers. If its a tight response it will be fine for free air.
