hi I am currently rebuilding a 2005 ford ba xr8 with front end damage was just wondering if it would be much hassle to get it licenced if I put the motor and gearbox into a normal ba xt or would I have to get it engineered as a converted v8

Shouldn't be a problem. It's the same as getting a replacement body shell. The XT would then be classed as an XR8 because you'd have the entire running gear/harness etc from the XR.
