Doing exactly what my ute did when the pinion come loose.
Not uncommon for a Borg Warner diff that gets a hard time.

live axle has no castor adjustment, its going to be one of 5 things i think.

1. pinion angle if you have picked the wrong holes on the control arm mount

2. pinion bearing shot to bits

3. unis are flogged

4. tailshaft is bent.

5. CANDY!

there should be 2 mounting holes on the diff for the upper control arms, it changes the pinion angle. climb under there and check, if you have the second lot of holes, change over to them and see how it goes.

Another one to try, and this one is a touch weird, BUT, undo your tailshaft, rotate it 180 degrees and put it back on. Also you could have a damaged extension housing on the gearbox.. worth a look at as well.

Ok i have my old digff out the car and i had a look, there are 3 upper control arm mounting holes, im guessing my EF Diff has something similer if not need the EF control arms, im thinking, is it a possibility the tail shaft is rubbing the tunnel?

ist of all take a side on pick of where the tail shaft goes to the diff, this way we can tell if its the pinion angle or not.... it save you changing arms for no reason

Um stupid question have you checked that the axels aren't bent? With the a** off the ground with the wheels still in do the tyres spin true and not wander like drunk on the way home from the pub?

If the vibration is at all speeds down to zero then something is bent. If the vibration is only at certian speeds then something is out of balance. Or it could be both

Another posibility is have you checked the tyres for Bolges? Had this happen to me, rooted around for ages changing bushes, checking uni joints, brake disks, etc... and had the wheels off and back on an number times without seeing it. It wasnt until I was trying to stand the wheel up against a wall and it kept falling over that I finally saw the bolge in the tyre.

Just saying its the stupidist things, right under your nose that trip you up.
