Au 4.0 in a ef will a ef el 5speed box bolt up ?
Or will the au 5 speed bolt up and fit into the tunnel fine or will it be to short or to long |

You will have to use the ef box au box is slightly longer and try and use au bellhousing.

Ef box will bolt up but the bottom bolts don't go in. Still plenty of bolts to hold it though. I have AU motor with EB box behind it.

Cheers the help so ea,eb, ef , el will bolt up but two bolt holes on the bottom of the bellhousing will not line up ?

no, because the au sump has those as part of the sump structure..

If you fit an AU Bellhousing with an EF/EL gearbox, everything will match up perfectly, this is the best way to do it.
