I've seen a few posts on here in regards to Footwell Lighting, but I wanna know if anyone has any other idea where to connect Footwell LED's too. Is there a way of connecting it up without running the wire up to the "A" Pillar, but still keeping it connected to the Main Interior Dome Light?

If not, I'm just gonna have to do it that way....

I believe the wiring is in place. Just climb under the dash and look.

The wiring runs in a different direction behind the dash and comes out somewhere. I wanna know what area to look at - Cause there is a lot of different coloured wires under there. I want a general direction so im not looking for days on end - Any help would be appreciated...

It can't have been hard for my son. He just looked and saw the holders there, inserted the bulbs and hey presto footwell lighting on a low spec BA MK1.All of 5 minutes total.

If it was as simple as just plugging in a bulb into sockets that are already there, I certainly wouldn't have bothered posting on here. I Have a BF Ute, which means - No Holders. I need to manually tap into the wiring with and LED strip. Hence my original question....

Hi. The wires are in the main loom behind the glovebox, a green/yellow wire and a black/blue wire and they should be in the main loom on the drivers side as well. Cheers MD

Thanks for the reply foxtrot3, It's all good though. I ended up running it into the A Pillar anyway. Turned out alot better than i thought it would. So i'm really happy, but thanks anyway. :D

Sorry to open an old thread but this is so funny it is laughable.

I have gone back to this issue a dozen times in the las 3 years and could never find the lamp holders despite the car having premium sound and colour ICC. All the descriptions of where the holders were didnt help. But then i read the colour of the wires, found them and the led me to the bloody things sticking in my face. I cant beleive i was so stupid i couldnt see them. Bang, 1 minute job, i niw have led footwell lighting.

I am a dope.

Thanks everyone that ever had an input into this.
