Need a run down on exactly what to do for front lower control arm removal.
I'm talking about from once the wheels are removed not after disconnecting other items and just the LCA. Tried google and here and even have a manual but still unsure, very vague. Everywhere I read or see pics they just state "Remove", no s**t but how. I replaced my whole rear end last week with nolathane bushes, new shocks and springs which was easy. There is a arm going to the front chassis from the LCA which I'm not sure of how to remove which looks like my main hurdle right now, how simple is this, do i have to remove the disk off the spindle??what about the tie rod end does that need to be sepereted witj a removal tool? same tool for lower ball joint or different? Or would I just hammer the lower ball joint or get a seperator (which one there are a few out there and all look different), dont want to fork out $560 at pedders to get this done. I had previously changed the upper control arm bushes myself quite easy job with nolathane twice before as they crumpled and would make the loudest cracking noises, so it seems my problem is the lowers now, and they were all changed to nolathane years ago so life span is not life time. All help appreciated.

For anyone else that wants to do this at home but unsure- dissmantleling as less parts as possible
-first remove lower strut bolt and sway bar link (if doing 1 side) and both mounts then move aside and hammer the lower hub till ball joint drops, remove nut and bolt from lower control arm strut. -lift LCA over ball joint & remove LCA inner bolts then lever out the LCA with a pry bar and slide it (towards rear of vehicle) off the lower control arm strut. LCA ready to go back in, re bushed and greased- g clamp was great here. Not too difficult, was told to remove more items but as you can see you dont need to.
