just wondering is the trip computer fuel average per 100kms is that suppose to go up when the car is just idling? also where does the trip computer get its readings from? ECU? sensor?

ECU? sensor? yea when she idles its reads 99 on the instant gets if from the ECU i believe it is injector pulse or PWM driver not 110% sure what Is it working when the car moves though ? |

yeah its working whiling the car is driving but the fuel average is up to s**t it sits around 19L. im lost for ideas?

I believe it is pin 58 not to sure this is of the top of my head I had the same issue with mine dont know if its fixed though reading funky numbers like yours when i fitted a EL ECU |

the trip comp gets its instant ltr per 100 from injecter pulse, it gets its average speed from the cluster and it uses these to get an average ltrs per 100km..
so to get a realistic average you need to drive the car as you would normally and after about 100km it will be a correct average, but if you sit idling for long periods it adds to your average ltrs per 100 because its using fuel and not doing any km.. |
