Went to start my car the other morning with no luck.It is A 1997 EL falcon. Have replaced the distributor cap & rotor, Ignition module and coil now I am getting a spark but car still wont start. Checked battery, fuses and fuel pump, plugs and leads, no problems detected.
For a few months I have needed to wiggle the gear lever while in park before it will start. Could the transmission sensor be preventing it working? Please help if you have any ideas -Thanks |

Sounds like neutral safety switch... They crack the s**t and think the car is not in park or neutral and so wont allow it to start.

If the car cranks over, it is not the inhibitor switch.
Check your BCM, whack the dash near your left knee and see if it starts. |
