Probably the best place to start.

You're gonna have to re-word that whole thing for it to make any sense. Is it idling normally?

Put more fuel in your tank so the pump remains submerged see if it still happens then. Don't be cheap.

There really isn't too much more to a fuel system apart from injectors, but i would not suspect that as it runs fine every where else.

I'm following this closely, as I had/have a similar problem.
The fuel pump in my EF wagon died a block away from work about nine months ago. I had just filled the tank and couldn't be bothered getting it towed home, drain the tank, etc. So I had a nearby auto repair place with a good reputation collect it and do the work. It took a week, and cost me $800 plus most of a tank of fuel. Since then, the engine has cut out whenever I take a hard left turn (say, over .5g), but starts up again as soon as I'm out of the turn. I replaced the fuel pump again myself on Saturday ($100 total cost this time - just the pump), but haven't had a chance to take it through the twisties since.

sounds silly, but check the pump relay. If the coil or magnet is d**k it might be opening as you turn corners

I read this when you first posted it, did you ever work out what was wrong? My wagon does the same thing, dies even if the fuel is over half around left-hander corners, as though the fuel is running away form the pickup point. Sometimes accompanied by the smell of fuel, which is a little weird.
I am taking it up to Winton in a couple of weeks and need to sort it out for that! Otherwise I will have to run on gas My only real thought is to get one of these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/undercar-all ... 4d08bde3e4 There's space to fit it above the learfsprings on the LHS of the car. In-tank pumps it to the surge tank 040 or 044 sends it to the front. Expensive though |

This isn't my thread, but I had exactly the problem you describe. I replaced the (brand new) fuel pump with the cheapest one I could find that would fit the EF wagon, and the problem is gone. Don't know if it was the pump itself or an issue with the plumbing or electrical inside the tank, but the problem is definitely gone. The new pump is a Racer REP-2270 08.17 from Racer Australia. It took a bit of fiddling to get it to fit right, as the outlet is not quite the correct angle; and the strainer is the wrong one (angled), so had to re-use the existing flat one. But it has worked flawlessly since February, so I'm a happy camper.

I had chronic fuel smell - especially when tank was near full or after taking a hard right turn. Found out the valving in the vented cap had come apart, so the spring was no longer holding it closed. Figured out how to reassemble it, and it's been all good since.
