A few times i've noticed that people have said that the early 'E' series box fits easily to the AU motor but two bolts don't line up....
so seein that i hada AU block sittin in me trailer & had a spare EA bellhousing sitting around as well thort i'd see what was differant {DESCRIPTION} {DESCRIPTION} looks like it's more than two bolts [& yes pics stuck around wrong blooody way grrr ] so has anyone modded the sump or bellhousing? |

I actually 4 or 5 bolts..., but e series only has the 2 at the bottom from the steel braces where au has the 4..
I guess you could try drill and tap threads, but imo not necessary, I had a ea bellhousing on my au motor when it was supercharged with over 200rwkw and no problems, no movement, no cracking ect.. |

I have a AU motor in my EA SVO with the EA auto. It's only the bottom 2 bolts. The 6 main ones across the top fit. So it's been left like that and it is fine

it was a daily driven manual and was drag raced , when it was driven hard it was treated very hard, quite a few burn outs, power launches and about 20 1/4 mile runs, although eventually I did get a au bellhousing, not that I thought it needed it I just wanted all the bolts there when I took it to be engineered..

it passed roady worthy. you're looking about it the wrong way too. Those shim plates are the AU ones, not EA ones
