Is an EF XR6 handbrake the same as an EF GLi? Maybe a silly question but I got an EF GLi and I put in an XR6 3.45 diff in and I couldn't get the handbrake to work????

Try putting the handbrake down before attempting to connect the cable...

Running the complete handbrake system from the donor car? Maybe your diff had the adjusters wound right up in the drums and the new doesn't meaning the cables aren't long enough to connect to the arms? Try unadjusting the handbrake shoes first... Remember to adjust the handbrake once you get it fitted...

Do EF/EL have front adjustment? Maybe your's is done up too tight up the front too?

It is easier to hook the cable onto the arm and then pull back to make the outter slide into it's mount on the diff second...

Cheers,
Tim
