I wouldn't be suprised if the Sprint box was a 'Stang box.....the ED Sprint had it's own, they were different to a normal XR8.
The Sprint had a 3.35:1 first gear, as opposed to the XR8's 2.95:1.
5th gear and Reverse are the same ratios however.

i rececntly rebuilt my sprint box, using parts from the states. i didnt need to replace the cluster though. i see no reason for it to be any different than the aussie ones, just count the teeth, you should have a 23t input. fyi. i replaced 2nd, 3rd, and all bearings using parts from the gearbox.org.
the input shaft i had to get from a 94 cobra and machine a few mm off the end. try and find genuine tremac, not cheapo parts from india. prices have gone up a lot lately due to tremac no longer tooling t5 bits

sorry for the slow reply mate, took a while to find the old part numbers. 23t input shaft 1352-085-055,i had to get this from Les Ryan auto parts try www.southwestgear.com; it needed about 7mm machined off the end.
the rebuild kit i got from summit. it was the ford racing t5 rebuild kit #fms-m-7000a.as for 2nd and 3rd gear, i cant find the part numbers. i ordered them from the gearbox.org. as long as the teeth count is the same, and they are world class parts you cant go wrong. the gearbox are awesome to deal with, and probably the best priced. again; try and get genuine tremac, or confirmation of quality.i also got the billit cluster support plate, apparently this adds a lot of strength

good luck
