I've searched and searched, but can't find it.

I'm in the mood to change the oil and filter in my 4l '97 XH ute, but want to know the pit falls if any that I'm likely to run into.

Am I likely to need a new gasket? are there any crossmembers (apart from some of you lot muttering about a noobie asking the same old questions) that need to be moved? Will I get myself and driveway covered in ATF? How in the hell do you refill it and why didn't the dipstick at Ford put a dipstick in the tranny?

One day I may even buy a workshop manual, but where's the fun in that?

Excellent halp, thanks mate.

That's pretty much how I thought it would be done, but wanted to check. The 1st link also gives a good idea on flushing the box out using the two bucket method, I'll most likely go that route.
