Hi was wondering if i could get some advice on what my issue could be if in fact i have one.

Installed my Transmission Cooler on my 2005 BA Xr6 N/A and just noticed that the coolent had risen in height when hot from the night before.

Not to sure if it is something serious or this is normal. the car idles around 600 and also blows either steam or smoke in the morning might just be because it is colder outside.

thanks for any help you can give.

I was a bit worried about my BA blowing heaps of smoke in the morning as well but it just takes a good 15 mins driving before it stops. Its the cold weather to blame.
If its the temp gauge your refering too mine sits always just below half way pretty much regardless of the weather.

Ah good to hear thanks mate. The coolent in the overflow sits between max and min when cold but after driving it is sitting at just over max. Any concern?

To be honest i dont check the levels except for when i service the car or after ive washed it and im drying it. I would expect it to expand a little as it gets hot so in my eyes id say its ok. Besides the wife drives the BA more than me :(

Hmm, need to double check but I think there were some issues with rad cores busting & contaminating internal tranny lines. need to double check that.
