My cable has far too much slack and moves about with the housing as I drive (hard to explain), which gives me extremely poor throttle response. I've driven my friend's NL Fairlane, and his response is almost instant, whereas you have to put your foot almost halfway down in order to take off in mine and the car just feels sluggish as a result. Does anyone know the steps to removing and replacing the throttle cable in an EL Fairmont? I can't seem to find any guides for it.

Cheers.

None of the accel. cables are adjustable from EA to AU.
If the cable has slack, it's because it is stuffed.
The accel. pedal will need to be removed to fit a new accel. cable.

It's got 2 plastic nuts so it does look adjustable but one is fixed onto the "thread" it's basically just a stopper and can't be adjusted.
