Hi guys.
I just brought a manual conversion for my ef fairmont. Theres a few questions I have regarding parts.
Do I need manual console? Can I use my auto tailshaft or is it to long and It came with a ed xr6 ecu, Im pretty sure I need a ef one as mine is coil pack?
I waiting on peddle box. Flywheel and Is the bellhousing different.
So far I
Box
Clutch kit
Bearings
Loom
Sandwich Plate?
Is there any other parts I need
My knowledge of these are very limited. Any help would be great

As long as it is a E series T5 then the tailshaft will be fine. If it is an AU T5 then you will need an AU Manual Tailshaft as the extension housing on the AU T5 is longer.

You will not be able to run the ED ECU as you are correct in needing an EF ECU. EB/ED/EL have different number of pins to the EF ECU. EF are 104 pin. You can do the resistor mod to keep the Auto ECU.

You will need a Manual Bellhousing.

you will also need a clutch cable, and consoles are the same AFAIK, you just need the manual gear stick boot.

when you get the bellhousing, make sure you get the clutch fork and cable insulator. im not sure you can still get them from ford.
