No power to my ef 4.0 falcon battery is brand new ?? Any ideas

|
Check battery terminals, make sure +ve and -ve are right way around, check the grounding. Start with the basics.
Is there nothing at all?

If something doesn't switch on, the circuit is incomplete somewhere. If absolutely nothing switches on, then you have to look at something that all of those circuits have in common; starting with the battery and the terminals. It has to be them, or maybe every single fuse in the car is blown which is fairly unlikely. Use a multimeter to make sure you have continuity between the terminals. It might look okay by eye but test them.

But because nothing works it must be something bigger. But still an excellent idea to check all that stuff.

But still an excellent idea to check all that stuff. hey no probs - check ya main fusible links think theres about 1/2 dozen or so [lookin at a EA/ED book] & afta market EF/EL shows a 'fuse link box' so check that too |

Hold a spanner touching both battery terminals. If you feel anything then it is a wiring issue. If not it's a battery fault.

If not it's a battery fault. whats being said here is - holding one end of the spanner [or wire] on one of battery terminals .. short [connect] the other end [of what ya using] to the other terminal BUT do this only momentarily so a spark is produced ... should be a good SOLID spark ie fully charged battery if not...... put battery on charge |

Use a multimeter to check battery voltage rather than shorting with a spanner (possible to blow battery up or melt your fingers)-do headlights work ? if so not battery -go back to checking all wires connected to battery -earths etc.and checking fuselink wires near battery from positive supply have habit of corroding at their connecting sockets
