Sorry if theres other threads already i couldn't find them in search.
Just wondering what the best way to go about lowering my ba xr6 ute is, ive looked into blocks but have been told you cant use more than a 1 inch block or the shock mount will hit the rim with 17s or lower. (have stock ba 17" alloys). Pedders quoted around $1200 to: Reset leafs ($600 or $550 for new leafs) replace coils ($190) and the difference $$$ would be for labour+wheel alignment and whatever else. What have other people done, what have you used, how much has it costed and how well did it turn out? Any suggestions/info/brands/tips/links appreciated cheers fellas |

Reset leaves and 1" blocks in the AU here. Still running stock 17's.

My AU which is the same suspension setup as the BA is running kings superlows in the front and I had the original leaves reset in the rear. I then added adjustable helper springs in the rear for if I load it up.
Rest was about $220 Helper springs were about $150 and about $130 for front springs. I fitted it all up myself.

I had my springs reset 2". With the helper springs I can go from having it at pretty much stock height or down in the weeds if I adjust them. I keep the back up a bit as a rule to fit the 9" rims and so I can use it as a ute without stuffing around.

Yeh sure thing, guess I'd be looking at around $800 to just buy all the springs and figure out the rest, might as well save a few hundred and get on the tools |
