Hi. every one
Still learning about my 93 ED

I get no heat from my heater.
The green and black tubes are on correctly.
My temp gauge shows no temp at all when driving.
heat sensor seems ok along with the thermostat.
I earthed out the temp gauge and it rose to high.

In the pic it shows a hose from my thermostat housing
going to a T joint One hose going to the engine another
going to the heater on the fire wall.

The arrows DON'T show water flow but only where the hoses go to.
A second hose is fitted to the heater with the heat tap connected I am not sure where that runs yet.

In my work manual for the ED it shows where the red line hose is connected as a bleeder plug.
I supplied a pic as well.

My question is would this set up cause the temp to remain low.??
I am at a loss. Any Help I am grateful for.

Does the car have LPG ???
Have you replaced the t'stat ???
There shouldn't be a hose connected to that point on the side water housing.

I am replacing stat in the morning. What confuses me is the pipe on the stat housing!

Where does the hose for the heater normally come from and go to ? Is this some sort of bypass for some reason?

Does any one know where the heater hoses come from and go to so I can rearrange the setup?

They originally have a steel pipe that goes under the intake manifold, and it has a little pipe that comes off it too....like a Y junction.
The little one is for a bypass hose to meet up with the other steel pipe that goes around the back of the block, under the exhaust manifold, and to meet up with the water pump.
They both go into the heater.....large hoses.....in and out, with a heater tap on the front hose.
The other pipe ( rear) sticks out between #5 and #6 intake runners and goes into the heater with a hose connection.

This is a great help. Looks like the steel pie on mine was replaced by using just hoses.
I am about to crawl under and look for the pipe under the intake
Cheers. You have been a great help thank you
