Hey all, I upgraded to my XR6 from my EL Fairmont last year.
I just found one of the little webbing pull-straps under the drivers' seat - it's the release for the right hand (wider) side rear seat back (which enables you to carry long things in the boot). Anyone know how I can either 1) release the seat without the pull-strap so I can replace it, or 2) tell me exactly where it goes, so I can try and wiggle it back in there? (Is the catch in exactly the same location as the left hand side?). Thanks.

The catch should be identical as the right side only I'm unsure as to how your goin to release it...... Maybe get some pliers in there if you can peel the seat foam back far enough?

i had a similar issue in my old au. i pulled the seat foam off to the side enough so i could suss it out, then activated the catch with some needle nose pliers. i then ran some electrical wire through the catch twisted the ends together, taped it up and used it as a replacement strap. sat between the cushions when not in use, you would have no idea it was there

I still have the original webbing pull-tab. I'll post a reply if I successfully get the thing open. Cheers, thanks again.
