ive recently converted my EL Gli to 4x Electric Window system all works well except the Drivers Auto down function wont automaticly click off it stays on untill i press the down button, the only think i havent done is put a higher spec BEM in is this the reason why its not turning off

I believe it's in the switch itself as my fairmont does the same, whindes window down but doesn't flick the switch until I do and if I forget to switch it back not even 10 minutes of it being down it takes a couple times of pushing the button up before it will move.
Haven't tried cleaning under the buttons so maybe something so simple may fix it.

the auto down part can bind causing the button to stick in the down position. take out the switch and you'll see a metal plunger underneath. pull it out a little and put a drop of oil on the shaft and make sure it moves freely.
if that doesn't help the insides of the switch might be worn but be careful taking it apart as sometimes the child lock button pops out and it's a pain to get back in properly. |

what sort of oil is suggested? would silicone spray work
just wanted make sure it was in the switch and not the loom or bem |
