I am hoping someone can help me. I have performed some searches but have been unable to find an answer to my question.

If I was to install an aftermarket single DIN head unit into my BF Falcon (Standard ICC) would it be possible to connect the head unit to the cars AUX port? I would achieve this by running RCA leads from the head unit's RCA outputs to a cable such as: http://www.asllogistics.com/catalog/ASL ... -p-51.html

I would obviously require a 3.5mm socket to 2X RCA plug adaptor.

I would then be able to select the aftermarket head unit by selecting AUX on the ICC and possibly even control the volume using the steering wheel controls.

I feel that by taking this approach I would not need to splice into the factory speaker wires. I would only need to provide the head unit with power and ground.

I know this might be considered a silly or long winded idea but I was just hoping someone might be able to tell me if it is feasible.

EDIT: Never mind, I found my answer on caraudio.com.au.
