I want to know is it the right one or has it been changed?

It should have a 90° bend vertically.

That's off a non-serpentine belt engine. Could be anything from the '60's to 80's.

Ive been trying to find out more info on this situation but not getting very far.

The guys at my Local parts shop is stumped as well, hes been on the phone all day talking to some people about what model e series it came from and they have said it could be from the EF-EL V8s not the EB-ED V8s.

So did the EF-EL V8s have a 45degree thermostat?

Or is this from a much earlier Windsor?

The guy at the Parts shop has a NF-NL fairlane V8 so will have a look at his for me to see how similar it is to mine but he has said that my setup looks like it could be a original setup because of how the hoses and pipes are set up and then it could have been changed over at some stage as well, So we are stumped.

If anyone here has any idea what thermostat housing I have, I will really appriciate it and then I can pass it on to the parts guys about getting a new one.

Cheers

EB-EL same housing.

XR9ute has told you. Its off an earlier Windsor.

Just get the right one and fit it, problem solved. I don't get what the big problem is?

The AU housing also suits the EB-EL. Just in case thats an option.

With the pipe thats sitting just next to the top rad hose, how can I modify or move it to fit a 90 degree thermostat housing? With out breaking it or pinching it.

Cheers
