Hi guys,
Last year i bought some lowered springs and shockers for my Eb wagon. Ever since i put them in the car has a lean to the passenger side, the passenger side is lower than the drivers side. The suspension ëxperts"in town said its an allowance for the weight of the driver !!! Was thinking of cutting the original springs and replacing the sports ones just so it sits right Any thoughts ? Never ever cut springs, as this isn't a real fix of any sort.
Did you concider swapping them from side to side ???? On genuine springs, they had coloured stripes, and a white stripe......the white stripe was for the RH side....just had to remember 'white is right'.

Just a follow up.
Replaced bushes etc...still sits low on one side at the front Got a 10mm spacer for the coil...just a flat ring. Wondering where to install it. |

There is a few mm allowance for the drivers weight however not significant.
if your 100% sure that its off, and not because your surface isnt flat 9which would leave you with an impression of different height), have you checked out the spring seat at the top? - made sure that the spring is seated correctly in there? Also - and its a long shot - bent swaybar or different length swaybar pins? Nigel |

have had it apart several times, everything is seated correctly.
Realise that there is an allowance for drivers weight. Even had the local suspension place check it out and they don't understand the 12mm difference, measure from guard to ground. Will try the spacer. Should I put it above the spring seat as it is just a flat bush |

I'm happy to be corrected, but I'm 99% sure those spacers are for rear coil springs, not front coils.
In other words, not for wagons. Last edited by MAD on Fri Aug 09, 2013 10:36 pm, edited 1 time in total. |
