I have a 96 El 4ltr falcon sedan, 230,xxxkm.
Recently replaced spark plugs, engine was starting and running fine. Car used to be run on gas as well as fuel. As I said car was running fine, I removed the gas converter from the engine bay, replaced the T peice water Pipe that usually ran to the converter to a straight pipe, in the process water leaked everywhere. A few days later tried to start and fired but didn't quiet start, replaced ignition leads, still fires but won't start. Strong blue spark at all plugs. Fuel pump has been replaced and is powering up fine can here it working when turning the key. Should I be looking at fuses, relays, coil or? Need some advice, cheers! |

Is your fuel pump priming?

Will do! Thanks, if its not that then would be a fuel problem I would think. Because if there's spark there's not much else that would stop it starting.

I'm suspecting the TFI module/hall sensor.
Get a friend and have them, or yourself, at the back of the car to listen if the pump is running while the other person cranks. The fuel pump will always prime for a couple of seconds when you turn the ignition on, if it doesn't run while cranking, then it's the TFI module/Hall sensor and you'll need a new distributor. But then you say you removed the LPG system. Are you positive you've connected all the wiring back to as it should be? |

Yeah I made sure of that, it was running fine for a week at least after the converter came out. But I will try what you said, that sounds like it could be it. Cheers mate

If the TFI module is faulty then would there still be spark at the plugs though?

Maybe. I had one fail on me where if I turned the key from off directly to start it would fire then die. But if I let it prime, then turn to start it would not.
