Hi guys I have a 1996 ford fairmount automatic and thre reverse gear it not working nicely,for it 2 work u have rave thre car up for 2 to 3mins wat cld be thre problem with thre reverse gear

check the gearbox oil level...

reverse takes the most pressure to engage so it's the first you lose when the oil gets low...

Does the gearbox leak?

Hi Timmy A There gear oil is level is ok ,and its still nor engaging nice I really don't know wat cloud be there other problem.there gear box doesn't leak at all

Run a diagnostic check on it and see if the computer can see any problems in it? There is a how to in the tech docs up the top...
