which pin on the ecu controls the s1 solenoid on the four speed box, and what colour is it normally.

we have a box locked in 3rd, changed box, ecu, inhibitor switch and throttle position sensor, had the s1 replaced today and after a few mins of driving it locked in third again.

running out of ideas.

good chance of it being the vehicle speed sensor.
mine went and the speedo kept working (was easy to find thanks to the mechanic with the scanner)

we had it scanned and it threw out an ecu error and a1, which is supposed to be the s1, we replaced both and it still locks in third, totally has the auto electrition and mechanic stuffed.

and the speedo works, i can get a speed transducer from an el box, but i'll have to make sure the diff ratio's are the same

should of said it's a 99 au forte, beautiful car but this box issue is ruining it for her, i bought a 98 au last week, doesn't look the best but hasn't missed a beat, go figure.

all you need to do to change them over is to change the gear on the transducer

dont worry about diff ratios
