if you have too larger intercooler could it generate lag? for eg sr20 running 10 - 14 psi with a 600x300 intercooler

yea, the bigger the intercooler, the greater the volume of air the turbo has to pressurise before the boost has an effect

but the bigger the cooler the air!

If you want a big cooler make the piping as short as possible

Yes its not so much i/c size , more the size of pipeing to i/c shorter is heaps better with wide radius bends...

600x300 is perfect for the SR.

my mate has a 89 lancer hatch and it has the same cooler,
he is running a jap import 1600 twin cam with a garret gt28 on 16psi.
