If your going to all the trouble, why not get the best performance you can and source a set of coil on plugs? Your looking to A/M the ecu anyway.

Straight up honestly not sure. There have been a few i6 builds on here with coils on plugs. IIRC from a gen3 motor. One of them I think was a guy that built a set of intake trumpets.

Or just simply purchase a brand new Falcon, crash it, claim insurance, buy the motor from insurance company and... Wow. You have a DOHC with all the bits ready to go.
Couldn't be simpler. Later. |

Thanks for the help mate. I have heard a lot of good things about the LS1 coils. And they do support big power. I will definately investigate this further. |

when I had mine setup.. I changed the dizzy by remote mounting the TFI module. someone on fordmods gave me an old one which I cut down and stripped out, used it just to provide solder points for the wiring, which I ran forward about 4 inches and out of the way of the dizzy. it was only the TFI module causing me issues so I moved it.
coil packs might be a more flexible solution though. |
