Hey got an 05 BA ute that I want to build a tray for. Problem is there is a bare minimum (20 - 30mm) between the filler spout and the bottom of the tray. The tray I'm drawing up will sit about 100mm lower then the standard tray.

Question is how difficult is it to modify the filler spout I've heard a rumour that they have an internal bladder to restrict explosions etc this would obviously make cutting and shutting the spout near impossible.

What about utilizing a tank from a different model of vehicle? or running L.P GAS?
