I have an AUII Forte, and both the electric windows are not working, there is no power the the motors, I have checked all fuses with a multimeter (tested fine) and replaced the breaker with a known good one, could this be a BCM issue? dry joints etc?

Have you checked the relay?

Hey man,
The switch assembly in the drivers door... pop it out and firstly make sure it is properly plugged in and if it is... Then check for power at one of the grey with yellow tracer wires... One of the two is power in and the second is power to the rear doors... If one has power with the key on and looses it 40secs after the key is turned off and a door opened then you have power getting there and master switch set may be doing weird things... It's really the only common thing besides power getting there that would fail both power windows... Cheers, Tim

ok, so the windows are working, but only when I put a bypass in where the relay goes, so something is not triggering the relay...

window relay is controled by the BCM to allow for timed operation when ignition turned off - check for power and earth to shunt winding of relay - try unplugging BCM and reconnecting -if available plug another BCM in and check if operating - Note if this is the issue BCM will require programming...

Hey man,
Pretty much Ted hit the nail on the head... Attachment: See it there... If bridging the relay out makes it work then that circuit breaker has to be OK otherwise it still wouldn't work and you should have continual +12 on one side of the relay coil. The BEM should be grounding that other pin when you turn the key to accy... My XR stuff that I've just put into the ED works and it comes on when you turn the key to accy... Goes off about 40 secs after you turn the key off and open the door and something like 10mins I read if you turn the key off and don't open the door... See how you go... prove that wire has continuity first... If it does then try a replacement BEM and it should give functionality without being programmed... Will just be immobilised... Cheers, Tim
