Hey Guys,
A mate of mine has an ED Falcon with an EL motor that he is using to race Production Sedans. Unfortunately last meet we were told that because the car is an ED he has to run with an ED manifold. So far this is proving to be a headahce and we have only just pulled the EL manifold off. Does anyone have any suggestions to get this conversion fixed fast and cheap? Cheers. |

He's running the EL ecu with a T.I. Performance chip that will be retuned for the new manifold. We're also going to put magna blue injectors in for a bit of extra go-go juice. |

It has been done before, there would be a thread around here somewhere, i wouldny bother with "extra go go juice" as these engines run rich as it is, especially at WOT,

Do you have an idler pulley where the ac pump was ?

Get the chip retuned with an ED tune.
Install the manifold and if you can get the XR6 pressure reg, (make the tune an XR6 one if you do have the reg) Don't worry about magna injectors though.. I have trialled that already. The VS ecotec engines have a higher flow injector similar to the magnas. Before I did the BBM conversion I got some spare fuel rails and decked one with a set of VS and one with a set of magnas, doing swaps on those I noticed stuff all difference. Maybe the right tune might get some better go, but if you have to go production I'd get the 300kpa reg (or an XR head if you don't already) and an XR tune..

We ended up tracking down a spare pulley off a tensioner from a similar motor and another mate is going to knock up a bracket to mount it off the AC compressor bolt holes.
I've got all the gear from T.I Performance to retune one of his chips at home, just need to learn how to use TunerPro. Going to look in to getting a 300kpa regulator after the next meet and possibly XR head. Extractors are on the list as well. Any other suggestions that keep within Production Sedan rules? |

New fuel filter, clean injectors, clean manifold and TB, new o2 sensor, new plugs, good fuel, advance the timing.
