Hi I'm looking at a chrome leather shifter for my au 2 and the only ones I can source locally are from an ef-el will these fit my au with lil or non modification? Or at the very least can I swap out the chrome buttons? Cheers guys

no, an el shifter doesnt fit onto an au, so im guessing the same is true for the reverse. at least not easily anyway. i do remember back in the day buying a woodgrain tbar for an e series and it wouldnt fit onto my au. cant recall why exactly though as it was many moons ago....

Won't work at all, the way they operate and mount to the selector shaft are totally different from EF/L to AU.
Try E-Bay.. THIS for example. Edit: The Chrome buttons are different as well.
