Hi guys, so i really want to put an exhaust on my stock ba XT, but i don't want to pay too much either roughly $700-800 because im a cheap bastard, anywhoo i don't know too much about my car just yet and i don't know who i should go to for exhausts

First thing to ask is "what do you actually want".
Do you want extactors or are you just after a cat back? Do you want it fitted or do you want do do it yourself. You list as being in Sydney, Big Place, where in Sydney? |

I want a catback, I want it fitted and am in Eastern Subs but happy to drive anywhere

Well the 2 places that I would recommend are both in the South West.
Hume Mufflers at Liverpool, 9/A El Toro Estate, Homepride Ave, Liverpool NSW 2170 (02) 9601 8608 Sureflo Exhausts Broadhurst Rd Ingleburn NSW 2565 (02) 9829 3158 http://www.surefloexhaust.com.au/frame1024x768.htm Have had work done with both of them and very happy. 2 x 2.5" Catback exhausts with Sureflo and a custom 3" exhaust at Hume. |

ba runs one 02 sensor making life so much easier. you can do a cat back change without any issues, unlike the bf onwards. ring around and find a local guy with a good rep. ive had a custom mild steel cat back done for $250 on an au and a ba. stainless steel costs more of course. or you could go for a named brand, in which case ring around, get prices and book it in. an xforce/redback exhaust is the same no matter where you get it put on....

You could even fit an XRT twin 2 1/4 as they go for about $150 upwards. You just need a custom Y pipe made ( about $100). I even have a near new system if interested!
