Hey guys ive recently bought a 97 ef xr6. it doesnt feel like its got an lsd so in the wet i tried a little skid and it only went on one wheel. can someone please tell me a code or something i can look for on the diff tovsee if it is one or not? theres no clunking or anything so its not worn. im guessing the previous owner may have blown it and replaced it with this. any info appreciated cheers

If only one wheel spun I'd say its a single spinner altho my ef futura would leave dualies all dy long xD. Try on a dirt road hehe another excuse to do some broggies xD

There is a tag on the diff that will give you the info you need, crawl under and check. If it is a 3.45:1 diff, it will be LSD. LSD could just be f**k and need overhauling.

There are 2 different tags.....being an XR6, it should be LSD.....one tag will say, High Performance Differential.....means it has a 4 pinion open centre.....the other will have Limited Slip....blah, blah.
