Whats up? Is this normal? It's the hardest clutch I've ever encountered and a few mates agree - it's just not right.

What could be causing this? Is it common?

It does seem to release the clutch slowly so you might be right - is it a case of pulling it and regreasing or replace completely?

you can try get some oil in the cable which helps in most cases, but probably will still feel stiff and notchy due to cable lining wear..

ive oiled them a few times but always ended up replaced them ..

Its fun driving with no clutch when they let go! Ive done it twice.
Just replace it with a good quality one.

If the clutch is that hard, it must be over adjusted, and if it needs to be over adjusted to make the clutch work, then the clutch is stuffed.
Suggest replacing clutch and cable at the same time, and lube pedal bushings.

Cheers all, pulled cable and oiled, adjusted correctly and now it's real nice! Like a new car to drive, instant power to the wheels, no slippage.
