I have an AU2 egas with a loud starter that nrighbors winge about. Is it straightforward to put the BF unit in, and are the petrol and egas ones the same?

Petrol and Egas are the same and a BF unit will bolt straight in with no modifications, infact, I believe that a BF unit will be the SAME unit as what you currently have.

BA/BF starter motor will fit E series and AU with no issues. Smaller unit with more power as well.
