hi, i gave daughter eb has gas conversion a couple of times a week she go out to start it for work ,dash lights come on but wont start, takes a few goes .this happens on petrol ,unsure whether its the same starting on gas.. Can someone give me some ideas on where to look.. Apart from the starting issues she loves the car,i just want to keep her safe ( safer than kia rio) Any help muchly accepted.

Need more info mate, does the car crank on petrol or the lights just come on and click? No click? Cranks but not start?

hi, thanks for taking time to help...ok, turn on key,, dash lights come on and fuel pump heard working but no 'click,click', only beeping from 'smart lock' any ideas will be checked out, just need to be pointed in the right direction... thanks oh and engine doesnt turn over at all when its like that...

try hitting the underside? of the dash where the handbrake is it might be a smart lock issue.
(hold the key to the cranking position and hit the hand brake area with your palm) may take a few attempts mine has had the starter motor failed (it was the solenoid) smartlock (had to re-solder the contacts) and the relay under the reservoir bottle in the bonnet i think it controls other relays and maybe (guess) ecu power

thanks a heap, mechanics dont give out useful info on much these days..As soon as i can get to her car (next week maybe ) i will let you know how it goes thanks again mate....

When you check the car next record how many beeps/flashes smartlock gives out it may be an error code? You can try leaving ignition on for an hour with key in and does your dome light work?
