Hi all,
My Fod Falcon EF threw out a code of 214, which is a faulty CMP sensor (Cam Angle Sensor) and am due to replace it with a new one soon but in saying that, would it be ideal to also replace the Crank Angle Sensor at the same time? Both these units work in unicen and feed each other information. Is there are separate code that is on the diagnostic code list for a Crank Angle Sensor failure, or is the 214 code for the Cam Angle Sensor which broadly covers both these sensors? Have had intermittent stalling in idle problems and engine cut outs for ages now and wish to iron out this problem asap. Cheers for the help! |

I can't be sure but I don't think there is a code for the crank angle sensor only the camshaft, as for replacing it untill symptoms arise I wouldn't bother but if you wanted to you sure could

Ok, sounds reasonable. Ill replace the cam angle sensor first and see how it goes and if the idle is still playing up, off to ebay to get a new crank angle sensor.
Cheers!! |
