Hi All
I have an NL fairlane that i just got on the road today. the car when i drive it seems to thump a bit into first gear. there is no dip stick or anything like that and i dont see a drain plug on the transmission either. is it likely that changing the transmission fluid and replacing the filter and what not will fix the issue? How do you get the transmission fluid into the transmission without a dipstick hole? Regards Barry

There should be a drain plug on it somewhere if not you'll need to drop the sump and to fill you'll need a filler kit as there is no dipstick/filler tube but a bolt in its place which you undo join a tube to and squeeze in the fluid. As for a remedy I'm not entirely sure.as I'm not a tranny man myself haha it may help but an ecu reset may help also being that its learnt the driving style of previous ow.er?
