hey guys just wondering how do yous go about removing the a/c gas when pulling the motor out do u just undo the bolt and release it into the air or get someone to come out and degas it for ya?

all solve now cable tie the ac compressor to the engine bay

you need to use an airconditioner gas reclaim unit. and need to be licenced to do it. if it is R134 gas i myself would be less worried about given some air dusters use that gas. (dont flame me, i know that is correct. look it up) if it is R12 make sure it is properly evacuated and also expect to need to convert it to an R134 system. alternatly you can regass it with a product called hychill or ozchill. they do not need a licence to gas it.

you are far better off not removing it tho because you need to then replace the reciever/dryer and the seals where it connects to the compressor. also you will need to cap them off while you are pulling the engine out.

you then have to evacuate the system for an hour then hook release the correct ammount of gas into it.
R134 i believe for falcons is 1kg. as for hychill i am fairly sure it is 500g. or 150psi on high side and 60 on the low side at 25 degrees. that is by memory tho
