removal: drain the master cylinder reservoir, disconnect the brakelines and brake fail warning switch at the master cylinder, (being careful not to spill any brake fluid), undo the 2 nuts holding the master cylinder onto the booster, remove the master cylinder
replacement: using high quality brake fluid of the same type (natural/semi synthetic/synthetic) partially fill the master cyliner and "bench bleed" it (get it so it wont move, jam a large-ish philips head screwdriver in the pushrod hole, and push, fluid will come out of the brakeline holes eventually, and keep the reservoir topped up so air doesnt get into the master cylinder, bolt it back onto the brake booster, reconnect the brakelines and brake fail switch, bleed the brakelines, top up the reservoir and replace the reservoir cap.... all done!

If you want to do it yourself? Shop around get the best price on a new one then.
Remove the brake lines from the master cylinder then unbolt master from brake booster. Bolt up the new one to booster but don't connect brake lines yet, first you have to prime the master cyl. Fill the cyl with brake fluid then get someone to push down onn the brake then stick your fingers over the outlet holes get them to release the brake and reapply and as they press down let your fingers off the holes a little to let the air escape. When the peddle is on the floor push your fingers tight against the holes and release the brake again. Do that a few times and you should have brake fluid coming through then just reconnect the brake lines and bleed out all four corners as normal remembering to keep the fluid in the resevoir topped up. You'll no doubt spill a bit of brake fluid about so have a hose or bucket to wash away anything before it eats up your paint..
