Hi fellas,

As some of you may know I am going down a twin turbo route with a full custom set up from snort.

However the brakes on my EL have been crap since I bought the car. And since I am going the turbo route I will need some decent stopping power.

I have been told the boosters are prone to cracking. What is my best option to replace the EL booster with?
Are there any steel ones? Because of the twin turbos there will be a crap load of heat under the bay.

Thanks in advance fellas!

The earlier E series booster were steel & supposedly could be retro'd to work.

I've had two plastic boosters go on me. I got some alu tape from revolution racegear & just covered the booster. Problem solved

Take a look at the AU2/3 boosters. They are metal and I believe Troyman was able to retrofit one onto his AU1 Ghia when he had it, from memory he had to drill a couple of holes in the firewall to mount it and add some sort of spacer or something as the angle of the firewall was different. You could PM him for some more info, I'm sure he'd be happy to help out.
As the AU1 and EF/L boosters are the same I don't see why it can't be done on the EF/L's as well.
