Hi just wandering what would be some of the symptoms for shaft play in the dizzy,, any1 with ideas??? Cheers

Take the cap and rotor button off and wobble the shaft to find out. Put the rotor back on and check again, any additional play and the button is worn.

Or you could put a timing light on it and see if the mark variates left/right but this could be either the rotor or the shaft.

Sometimes you can see scuff marks on the vanes where it has been hitting/rubbing on the pick-up.

Cheers,, I definetly know there's play in the dizzy,, just wandering what's some of the problems that would cause,, miss fire, weak spark, etc,,, any ideas plz good1
