ok, it started ok and runs beautifully except for strong gas smell and also the new car has an extra oil cooler in front behind the bonnet catch which has two connections( I think connections are reversed?) cause when i took it round the block ,car made weird noises, gears slipping etc and checked under bonnet and trans fluid all over round said connections...is completely different from old Ea and not in the book. Me bloke has tied them off and uses similar setup to old one...could it have damaged the gearbox on the test drive and would it harm it to bypass it altogether?
Please help |

so it wouldn't have damaged the gearbox driving with hoses reversed?
haven't been game enough to drive it to see what with the gas smell etc....its going to a gas bloke Wednesday to find gas leak so hope its not too expensive then gotta get it "blue slipped" for NSW |

well , put the gas one on a car trailer and took it to the gas bloke and left it for the day but when I went back , he said it won't start and had no time to check it over so now its sittiing here wasting space until me bloke comes in from the bush on his one day off to look at it...I put 20 litres gas in it and gas bloke said the gas is getting to converter but he can't tell if its going any further( ) isn't there some way he could tell?...so can someone give me some hints to tell me fella to check for pleeaassee?
cheers |
