Hi All I'm a new Ford owner and I'm after recommendations for tyre brands and what's suitable for 2007 xr6 ute. Anyone know of the best prices located in vic, will be doing 100-200 km per day.

For normal street use, most tyres work well in the dry.
It is in the wet that a tyres performance is critical.
In my experience, the cheap tyres are dangerous in the wet.
But then, tyres that perform really well in the wet are usually quite soft and will wear quickly.
Long wearing tyres are usually hard and hence not as good in the wet.

In your situation, 100-200km per day, you would need a tyre that is long wearing but works well in the wet.
Your driving style comes into play as well (in my case, I am a lead-foot).
Then there is price, also very important.
You need to talk to someone who does tyres for a living and has broad experience that would cover your application.

My suggestion :-
Contact Ray at TyrePower in Reservoir - in my case, he has always provided excellent recommendations and prices have been very good.
He was originally on the recommended suppliers list with the old XR Club and we have been going there for all our tyres for over 10 years.
I have tried other people from time to time but have not found anyone better to date.

BTW - (no offence intended) - it is "tyre" not "tire" - "tire" means to become weary.
The Americans do not know how to spell and hence we use English spelling in Australia (again, no offence intended).

I have found Khumo to be the best price/performance tyres. I'm about to try something more sticky next time though. the Nitto NT05's
