So, the other day I sold my EL due to moving states. I managed to find this mint condition unmolested 1994 ED XR6, factory 5 speed with mint Recaro seats, extractors, full 2.5 inch exhaust, factory momo wheel with cruise buttons, rear luver and tint. Its such a well looked after car, the factory stereo is till there and zero wear of any kind on the seats, unused ashtrays, unstained carpet, non sagging roof liner and more amazing bits. Not a single bit of wear on the writing on any interior buttons. The car even has the factory mud flaps.

Its much much quicker than the el was and in my opinion, a better looking car. I have found some quad head lights for it and will put some super lows in the rear as the front has them but not the rear...weird.

The aim with this one will be to keep it as factory and mint as possible. Just nicely lowered and maybe a cam/j3 but thats it. These are getting harder to find in good nick so I'm not about to change everything on the car. I'll be looking for a toy to play with for all of that stuff soon. Here's some pics, I hope you like it...feed back welcome!

Looks like a tidy car mate. Well done. But... you know the ED XR6 should have the round twin headlights on the front ?
Are you planning on putting the twin lights on it ?

IIRC the earlier ED's were 'S' XR6's, and didn't have the quad lights, but did get the leather momo wheel, which the later ones didn't have.
94 doesn't seem too early though.

EDIT: Yes. nice clean car.

Just to clear it up, this car had quad lights but ever mount bar one were snapped and therefore the lights were taken out of the car. It will have some back in it after tomorrow.

Yeah. I thought so.
I think they're one of the best looking of the factory steering wheels.

SMALL UPDATE: The guy with the quad lights messed me around but i found another set and will have them painted and put in shortly.

The car received the following in the last week... Oil, oil filter, fuel filter, dizzy cap, rotor button, plugs, leads, wiper blades and a K&N panel filter. Did all of this for under $250 which isn't too bad really. Helps when your girlfriend is a manager at an automotive retailer.

Picked up some super lows for the rear for $40. They go in tomorrow morning. Car will be pretty much finished then. Just the head work, cam and J3 after this.

I'm pretty picky about maintaining my cars and keeping this one in good nick is really important to me. Just going to keep replacing things as they wear out and ensure its in a1 condition. I know that most guys find that boring but trust me, its a lot harder than it seems haha.

Does anyone know if there is a way to refurbish the momo wheel? The leather has worn on top, as in the smooth gloss coating has gone. Do i have to have it recovered?
