Yeah, I'll check it out and see if I can't fix it. Hopefully it's not too big a problem.
This was an unexpected purchase as I'm ususally ( about to hang myself here ) a Holden person. But when I saw this car I immediately fell in love with it. I'll post some pics up soon.

So after a little bit of investigation, it seems as though the leaf spring is broken and it is causing the wheel to lock.
I know it's been a long time since I last posted but I figured I should let everyone know what the problem was.

I had an NC and the hand brake cable was worn and used to hold the RH rear hand brake lever pad on...had to get under and bash with hammer and release the pad and remember not to use the hand brake , also you cannot buy a replacement handbrake cable for then I finished up using a adele clamp to stop the cable jamming....Bruce

cant be your problem as na fairlane don't have leaf springs..

a common problem with ea/na- ed /nc is the hand brake lever on the rear calipers start to seize and if you leave the handbrake on for long periods of time the release spring looses tension and the hand brake doesn't release properly.
