Hey guys, reciently bought a ba speed way car, the car had its drivers side diff axle removed but a spare was supplied, I don't quite understand how you put the shaft into the diff housing

Never played with IRS before only live axle

It seems like it should just slip back in? But gets bout 3/4 of an inch onto the shaft then stops, it's got a form of clip which is what it's stopping on? Do I just force it past this point or is there something I've gotta do?

Any help or instruction would be awesome,

Yeah, that clip can be a bastard, actually had one break on me when forcing a drive shaft in (rubber mallet wise).
After that I put grease around the clip to center it on the shaft on assembly, so it doesn't catch inside the diff. Makes assembly 100x easier.

I usually unbolt the hub assembly except for the lower control arm to get the drive shaft into the hub.
The hub nut (or "pac" nut) needs to be done up to the correct tension also, I can't for the life of me remember where i got that info though. Other members can correct me if I say it's the same as the front hub nut.
